Mahnmal für die Opfer der kommunistischen Diktatur und der ungarischen Revolution 1956

 
Das Mahnmal für die Opfer der kommunistischen Diktatur und der ungarischen Revolution von 1956 befindet sich im Park links nach der Petőfi-Brücke auf der Budaer Seite. Die zu Beginn der 1990er Jahre auf Initiative des Verbandes der ehemaligen politischen Häftlinge errichtete Anlage erhebt sich auf einem pyramidenförmigen Sockel, der über eine Treppe erreichbar ist. Auf diesem erheben sich zwei massive parallele Betonwände, deren Oberkante von trauernden Köpfen gebildet wird. Auf den Schmalseiten finden sich zwei Inschriften in ungarischer Sprache, die auf die Bedeutung des Mahnmals verweisen. Auf den Längsseiten ist ein Nekrolog von Opfern der Revolution von 1956 und der politischen Verfolgung bis 1958 zu sehen. Ein kleiner Quader vor dem Mahnmal erklärt in deutscher und polnischer Sprache die Bedeutung des Ortes.
The Monument for the Victims of Communist Dictatorship is located on the Buda side of the Petőfi Bridge, past the Bridge on the left-hand side, in the park. This construction – erected in the early 1990's at the initiative of an association of former political prisoners – rests atop a pyramid-shaped plinth accessible by means of stairs. Two massive parallel concrete walls tower above this construction and their upper edge consists of mourning heads. At the narrow flanks, two Hungarian inscriptions explain the significance of the monument. On the longer sides, a necrology containing the names of victims from the Hungarian Revolution and political persecution up until 1958 can be seen. A small ashlar directly before the monument explains the significance of the site in German and Polish.
