Gedenktafel am Elisabeth-Krankenhaus
Die Gedenktafel zur Erinnerung an die ungarische Revolution von 1956 wurde am 23. Oktober 1993 im Vorraum des Elisabeth-Krankenhauses angebracht. Die von der Klinikleitung initiierte und von Pál Kö gestaltete Bronzetafel in der Form eines geöffneten Buches zeigt eine Fahne mit herausgerissenem Wappen. Eine Aufschrift am unteren Rand verweist auf die Bedeutung der Tafel.
Das Elisabeth-Krankenhaus an der Sándor Péterfy utca diente zusammen mit dem etwas weiter nördlich gelegenen gleichnamigen Krankenhaus während der Revolution 1956 als Versorgungsplatz für verwundete Aufständische. Die Leitung der Klinik sowie das Personal unterstützten auf diese Weise die kämpfenden Aufständischen.

Memorial Plaque at the Elisabeth Hospital
The memorial plaque commemorating the 1956 Revolution was installed in the foyer of the Elisabeth Hospital on October 23, 1993. This bronze plaque initiated by the Clinic administration and designed by Pál Kö in the shape of an opened book shows a flag with its coat-of-arms torn out.
During the 1956 Revolution, the Elisabeth Hospital in the Sándor Péterfy Street – together with the Hospital bearing the same name further to the north – served as a medical treatment centre for wounded insurgents. The Clinic management as well as its personnel supported the battling insurgents in this manner.
